I’m Clare. I am a Tutor, and Learning Coach, originally based in Stroud Green, London, N4 and Muswell Hill N10, but now working online.
Specialising in GCSE and A level, I am a qualified teacher, and GCSE specialist tutor and learning coach, and have over 10 years experience in mathematics tuition for A level and GCSE. In addition, I am an examiner for one of the main exam boards. This puts me in an excellent position to help students to understand how answers need to be presented to obtain maximum marks.
Weekly sessions are available, as well as holiday intensive revision for GCSE. I also offer intensive daytime tuition for GCSE resits.
My tuition style is focused on increasing confidence and educational resilience, while developing core mathematics ability – essential skills when tackling those tricky end-of-exam-paper questions. I follow a holistic learning approach, so that each session is individually tailored to the students needs. I will also focus on good revision methods and exam technique.
As a learning coach, if required, I may also assist in equipping students with skills that can be applied across their curriculum such as test-taking techniques, effective study methods, and time management in exams.

I can also offer informal tuition for adults wishing to improve their maths, or for ‘Help with Homework’ sessions.
My extensive background and experience enable me to help with a wide range of specifications, including those from exam boards such as Edexcel, AQA, and OCR for GCSE, as well as AQA and Edexcel for A-levels, and Functional Skills Maths.
In addition, I have experience of exam marking at A-level for one of the main exam boards. This puts me in an excellent position to help students to understand how answers need to be presented to obtain maximum marks.

Although originally based around Stroud Green and then Muswell Hill, London, and with many of my clients from the local area, all of my tuition is now online making my services accessible to students across different locations – and as far afield as China.
I have successfully tutored primary and secondary students from various schools in North London and beyond. These include Fortismere, The Latymer School, Dame Alice Owen’s, St Mary Magdalene Academy, Highgate Wood, Parliament Hill, Woodhouse College, Cheltenham College, Northampton School for Boys, and I’ve also worked with Virtual Schools and Alternative Provision institutions across the South East. Additionally, I’ve been a part of the National Tutoring Programme.

I approached Clare for help with my son’s Secondary School 11+ entrance exams and she has been amazing!
