These terms and conditions apply to all services provided by Stroud Green Maths
1-to-1 tuition
Lessons will be charged at the advertised rate, payable half-termly in advance, on or before the advised date. Please note, payment must have cleared to my account by the due date. I follow the Haringey timetable for term dates.
Half-terms not booked in full will be charged at the ad-hoc rate.
Fees for any lessons arranged on an ad-hoc basis are due at least 48 hours in advance of the lesson, and once booked, are non-refundable.
A late payment charge of £10 will be levied for payments made after the advised due date.
Timings
The session will start and finish on time. If your child is late, the session will end at the usual time to enable the next student to have their full lesson.
Cancellations and Missed Lessons
As regular lessons require a level of commitment, I do not offer refunds for missed lessons. Students are expected to attend each week unless I have informed you that there will be no tuition that week.
If the Tutor is obliged to cancel a lesson, then either the lesson will be rearranged for a mutually convenient time or that lesson will not be charged.
Termination of this Agreement
Lessons will continue until a mutually agreed termination date, subject to 14 days’ notice on either side. Any overpayment will be refunded, however if termination happens part-way through a full half-term, fees for sessions already taken will be at the ad-hoc rate. Both parties reserve the right to terminate lessons should they no longer be considered beneficial to the Student. This must be given in person face-to-face, or by telephone conversation. This enables you to be sure that I have received notice.
Limitation of Liability
While the Tutor will endeavour to ensure that the Student makes satisfactory progress, this cannot be guaranteed, and the Tutor cannot be held accountable for the academic success or otherwise of the Student. To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Tutor accepts no liability for any direct or indirect loss or damage, foreseeable or otherwise, including any indirect, consequential, special or exemplary damages arising from the use of the Tutor’s services or any errors or omissions in the contents of the Tutor’s learning materials.
Proceeding with registration and/or the commencement of Stroud Green Maths sessions indicates acceptance of the above terms and conditions, and also of the Privacy Policy.
